Blazer Care Toolkit
A thoughtful care routine extends the life of a garment and helps you create a deeper appreciation for the garment:
Key Tips
- Washing infrequently at low temperatures (max 30 °C) using a gentle cycle
- Air dry on a hanger
- Steam iron on reverse
- Store on a curved hanger
- Let natural fibres deodorize in a damp space
- De-pilling with a fabric shaver
No need to wash before wear
Each of our products is washed before shipping in order to reduce the shrinking that occurs after home-wash. That means you can wear it as soon as you get it without having to wash it first.
Washing at home
When you are washing it after wear then use a low temperature (30 °C) gentle cycle and air dry on a curved hanger to avoid fold lines of hanger imprints. Do not tumble dry. Make sure to wash with similar colours and just a light load. If the washing machine is too packed with clothes the blazer will wrinkle during wash.
Ironing
Finally iron with steam on high heat on the reverse of the garment or over a thin cloth to prevent fabric shining on darker colours.
Storage
Store on a hanger, after receiving the folded product. Keep on a hanger for a few days to get rid of fold lines naturally, or iron as instructed above.
Refresh
For a refresh without washing, put in a damp bathroom after a shower to get rid of any odours.
After frequent use some fabric pilling may occur. De-pill the affected surfaces with a fabric shaver on a flat surface to refresh the garment.
These will make sure your garment will live well, no dry cleaning required.
