Loop-Back Initiative
Our Take-Back System Explained
We are excited about our Loop-Back Initiative because this means that our blazers really are a long-term investment.
How it works
Email us at info@askblazers.com to let us know which of our garments you would like to send back and we will contact you with further instructions. After we receive your garments we will issue store credit of up to 40 EUR per garment.
We accept ASK blazers garments only.
What is circular fashion anyway, why is it important?
The most important part of circular fashion is making sure that the garment has the longest possible life, making the environmental impact of its production as low as possible. Therefore the first steps in the cycle shouldn't be biodegradability or recycling but reuse or reconstruction into a new garment.
Biodegradability and Recyclability vs. Reuse
Even biodegradability isn’t a guarantee. Natural fibres, if treated with certain dyes or finishes, may not break down unless they reach the right conditions. Much like a paper towel won’t decompose at the top of a landfill if it’s not exposed to the right microorganisms.
So it's about reducing the amount of items produced and increasing their longevity by using quality thread and secure stitching, having linings and of course quality fabrics. Not to mention a timeless design and flattering fit that won't go out of fashion in a few years so you can pass the garment on to someone else if it no longer serves you.
Our Take
That is also why we love using hemp in our products. It looks classically stylish, it's durable and with proper care it can be refreshed and reused in other products without losing its integrity. Over time it softens in a way that newer textiles can’t replicate. That lived-in softness becomes a feature instead of a flaw.
We hope to help build a system where reducing consumption doesn't have to mean eliminating choice or fun, and a system where companies don't have to condition customers to buy lots of clothes just to stay in business.
